It’s important to communicate with the charity if you think you don’t have the right skills. This may occur when you (and the community group) find out more about the project requirements.
If you don’t have the right skills, you might want to work together with the charity to re-scope the project. This is still very helpful. You may also be able to identify a colleague or friend with the right skills or ask Goodcompany to help the charity find a volunteer with the right skills.
Each volunteer opportunity is applicable via filling out a form and can be denied if you do not have the required skills for this role. Usually, the required skills are included in the volunteer description. You can also use the filter function to help search for a volunteer opportunity that matches your skill set.
